A Very Unique Wedding Gift

February 2nd, 2012

Wedding is something that means a lot to everyone. Yet, it means more to the others than the rest. For the others, it is a moment of ultimate joy and a sign of eternal commitment. Now if that is not a cause for celebration, then I don’t know what is. I have been trying to figure out that what are the most unique wedding gifts one can give. Is wedding the time where you bring plates and cups and wish for them to last as long as the couple does? Or is it more of a celebration that you should be really waiting for and preparing a proper gift?

One trend that I have noticed these days is group buying. It is trendy to buy presents in groups because it is easy to communicate with each other even though you wouldn’t everyone know so well. You will reach the brides cousins and the groom’s uncle in the same place and when you start a group gift spam, it usually spreads like a wild fire on the internet.

One of the most unique gifts I have seen is a proper fireplace.

My friend got married and they moved into their own house which they had built during the years. They always talked about fireplaces but they didn’t have one of their own. My friend started a group gift spam and he got a lot of people involved. Then he contacted the experts at Uunisepät and they started planning the fireplace into my friends home without he or his wife knowing. It all happened very discreetly when they were on their honeymoon. Uunisepät sent specialists so that they would be able to install it while they were on their honeymoon and as planned it was ready before they arrived. It was such a big surprise for them and you could really see that it meant a lot.

Fireplaces, as does everything that is close to earth, and being together seems to be the thing that makes our hearts melt. The most unique wedding gifts are the ones that are well thought and together bought.

The trickiest item to get is one thing that is not already a typical thing for gifting, like coffee mugs or plants. All those gifts have their uses, however, there is a single custom present that you may not have heard of, which happens to be letter photography.

Letter photography is created by arranging pictures of an assortment of common elements in such a way that they constitute the letters of the alphabet. It really is really  an innovative concept, and since the possibilities with the lettering are virtually boundless, there is an infinite assortment of gift ideas for you to pick from. In addition,  the name art preference can be individualized as well.

One of the best photography gift ideas is a framed letter photograph of an individual’s name.

You could create one for a sibling using their own name, their cat’s or the name of a business, for instance. If you can spell it, it can be designed. For example, imagine you plan to buy a birthday present for your niece. She is the captain of her high school cheer leading squad and she really loves that specific activity. With letter photography you can create a pretty color background with her school’s colors, and choose letter pictures that you feel she would like. If you cannot find any pictures that match what you need, you can create it yourself with a digital camera and some cheer leading pieces. The same could be said if you were creating a plaque for your loved one who loves the beach. A letter photograph gift of a name spelled out is remarkable and very much appreciated.

Using  photo art, you are afforded the pleasure to put a gift that is not just creative, but also reveals to the recipient that put a lot of thought into it when you created it. Your options are unlimited.

Eternal Bouquets – Unique Bridal Accessories For Beach Weddings

January 23rd, 2012

When you’re planning your UK beach wedding, there are so many details to consider. Wouldn’t it be great to have one important part of your wedding, the flowers, handled by experts and wouldn’t it also be great if those elegant flowers never withered and died? All this is possible if you choose bridal accessories like bouquets that are hand crafted by expert artisans from materials like freshwater pearls, sparking Swarovski crystals and gleaming glass seed beads. Created to last a lifetime, these eternal wedding accessories can be designed to compliment both your dress and your wedding’s colour scheme. Here’s some information about these essential beach wedding bridal accessories.

Bouquets for a Beautifully Coordinated Seaside Look

Take a moment to study both your dress and the jewellery you’ll be wearing. Chances are your dress is embellished with various decorative elements and that your jewellery was chosen to enhance both your dress, whether or not you plan to wear a wedding veil or bridal tiara.

When designing your bouquet, you should also consider the style, tone and character of your wedding. Beach weddings are exceedingly popular and by their very nature, they tend to be somewhat casual in tone. But many times, these weddings do have classic or traditional touches. Your bouquet should reflect both the casual and traditional elements of your seaside wedding.

Essential Design Elements for Your Beach Wedding Bouquet

Creamy freshwater pearls or Swarovski pearls are a great choice for an elegant bouquet that echoes the wedding’s marine theme. Iridescent beads that glimmer with a rainbow of colours are also good to include. Tiny seed beads that are iridised, clear or pearlised will continue this custom look.

Finally, pewter seashell charms add a truly custom look to this important wedding accessory. The colours of the bouquet should be inspired by the sea and shore, so soft blues and greens are a good choice. You can also add accents like ivory or white ribbon and elegant gold or silver metallic touches that will gleam in the sun. Stems are generally silver plated and then bound with white or ivory satin ribbon, depending on your dress’s colour. An organza bow surrounding the bouquet is a great choice to finish this beach-inspired look.

With a little forethought and planning the bouquet for your UK seaside wedding will pull together a variety of traditional and contemporary bridal accessories and elements for just the right look.

Brides and grooms realize the need to make things a bit easier for their guests regarding gifts and many couples now select a few stores, create a bridal registry of gifts they’d like to receive and let the guests pick items from their lists.

Though shopping from the gift registry makes your work easier as a guest since you’re certain that your gift will be appreciated, it also leaves out the originality and creativity involved in the gift buying process.

If you’ve been invited to a wedding and you want to give the bride and groom something they’ll love and cherish for many years, then you’ll have to get creative and think outside the box when it comes to gift shopping. Below are a few ideas to get you started.

For refined & cultured couple

This group of people appreciate work of art and a painting or sculpture will definitely be loved by them. Visit a pro artist and get them to render a sketch or a painting of the recipient couple. If your friends are more into music, then passes to the opera, symphony, or orchestra will definitely do.

For a homely couple

A homely couple will appreciate a homely present and talking of homely gifts, a cooking appliance come to mind. Here I’m not talking about the ordinary run of the mill kitchen appliances, get something remarkable and extraordinary, also, ensure the gift is something the couple can use together like a a Swiss dish, fondue set or a raclette.

For an outgoing couple

A few top of the range game sets would be ideal for this type of couple, a few ideas here include dartboards that come with solid wood cabinets, you could also look out for social items. The glassy-ware section is sure to provide you with some good ideas. Think a fancy Margarita set!

For the lovey dovey couple!

A gift representing sweets memories will be a perfect item here, think scrapbook showcasing the good old days, a handmade blanket, elegant photo frames for the new couple. Anything that evokes memories of the past will greatly be appreciated by the new couple. Think about significant events in the couples lives and any of that could provide a gift idea.

For the sporty couple

Why not get them a season ticket plan to a loved local sports event i.e. major r minor league. Of course this depends on your budget. Majority of sports franchise’s have partial season game packs in their offering, check them up and find if you can hook them with a game plan for mini season basketball or baseball or anything in between.

A wedding day is without doubt the most important day in the life of any person and whether or not you pick a gift item from the gift registry or decide to go with your own imagination in picking what you feel is most appropriate present for commemoration of the special event, make sure that what you buy reflects your deepest wishes for the couple and comes from the heart.

The baskets may contain anything from bottles of wine to car keys when presented at a wedding. Articles such as crayons, coloring books are appreciated while presenting the basket for a kids birthday. On the other hand, youngsters and teenagers prefer fancy articles such as perfumes, CDs or tickets to the premier of some movie topped with something useful. Vegetarian families can be gifted with a bar of soy protein. Breads are always used for emphasizing sorrow or regret.

Some people prefer to give a gift, which is unforgettable and very much useful in a practical way. One of these is sponsoring. Sponsoring a honeymoon package, a tour, or some expenses of the wedding celebration itself or financing the cost of home. Even you can sponsor either of these in a group and if not wholly you can try partially. It is a great idea by which you can show your concern and love and respect to the wedding couple. Everyone knows just how expensive a wedding, honeymoon, or home can cost! This is a practical gift that would be remembered for the rest of the couples life together and one that would truly be appreciated. Your sponsorship could come in the form of cash, hosting a party, picking up the bill for the wedding night hotel room, or even by providing the champagne or wine for the reception. December 13th, 2011

In the economy today and with the high cost of bridal gowns and weddings in general, brides are looking to cut corners when and wherever they can. The little tidbit, which you give out at your wedding that says, “Thank You for Attending” is one area where you can cut costs without it looking cheap. Below you will find some very nice and unique wedding favour ideas. They are also quite economical. If you are making your own, you will need a bag or box to put them in. There are plenty of budget friendly items to be found and utilized; some conventional and others a bit whimsical. You can find bags and boxes in all shapes, sizes and colours. Square, rectangles even triangular boxes can be made to fit any theme. Some people even use the top hat styled boxes to give favours to the men in attendance at a wedding. The bags are really the most versatile of the lot, small gift bags can be filled with tiny mementos of the big day. Fill them with fine chocolates, have the names of the bride and groom inscribed on them and voila! you have a great wedding favor!. Not to mention that the bags add a demure softness to the tables and they cost only a few pence more than the boxes. While making the wedding favour bag, you can insert a small square of tulle, this can be purchased at any local haberdashery, use pinking shears to add some interesting texture to the edges of the tulle. Place a sweet in the center and then make a sack of the tulle to contain the sweet. Tie it off with a bit of ribbon and place inside the bag. Let the bits of ribbon trail outside of the bag. Use a pencil to make the ends of the ribbon form into curls. If tulle is not in the budget, soft coloured tissues can be used instead, that is if the sweet is light and airy. Use unadorned boxes and decorate them yourself with ribbons and bows in the colours of the wedding theme. This is one of the more cost effective wedding favour ideas. After attending several weddings, you may notice that you are getting an overabundance of almost identical wedding favours. Making your own wedding favours will give you the opportunity to create one that is unique and unforgettable. Seasonal weddings offer the greatest number of gifting ideas. Wedding Decorations That Are Unique

December 10th, 2011

If you’re planning a summer wedding or any other wedding for that matter, get ready to spend big on your dress and the food. If you’ve got a somewhat modest budget then you need to know what’s going to cost you more and where you can actually save money.

After the wedding dress, the wedding theme and color palette are what brides worry about the most and then there’s the question of where you’re going to get married.  Venues are another thing that are hard to decide and finding the right one is even harder. The thing about the ‘right’ wedding venue is that it’s going to cost you big time. When brides-to-be start planning their wedding, the first venue that comes to mind is probably the most popular and the most expensive one. Brides-to-be choose their venues based on where they’ve seen the best and most beautiful weddings happen; what they don’t realize is that any wedding can be beautiful just about anywhere depending on the decoration.

Women pick venues and then plan how they’re going to decorate it and it’s probably going to mean they’re working with what they have.

Before picking a venue, it’s best to decide what kinds of decorations you’re going to have. That doesn’t mean you pick everything out and then go looking for a venue; just decide how your wedding arrangements will flow. Are you going to have flowers, drapes, arches, candles or some other props?

Table décor can be made extremely easy if you decide what shape the table will be instead of trying to get your centerpieces to work with whatever kinds of tables you end up with. Fruit bouquets are the kind of centerpieces that are available in lots of shapes and even different themes, so if you’re looking for something unique and you haven’t planned your tables, give these a try.

Fresh fruit arrangements and fruit bouquets are centerpieces for wedding tables ideas that are unique and suitable for fall and winter weddings. Unique wedding centerpiece ideas that are affordable fora wedding no matter what the season are usually hard to find but an edible centerpiece can make an excellent impression on your guests.

Unique Wedding Gift Ideas

December 1st, 2011

Coming up with wedding gift ideas can never be an easy task. The difficulty raises if the couple getting married after a long time living together as they have acquired a lot of neccessary things with time living together and there’s no need for normal types of gifts often being given at weddings. You probably want to have something unique for the couple as one of them is your best friend and you want to give them something they can appreciate and treasure for a long time to come.

I was just that you pay a visit to their home and try and be a little bit sneaky and look around and taking exactly what they have. This will give you ideas as you may find something that is very suitable for them. We know that everybody has different tastes and people like different types of items, designs, styles that may be modern or vintage.

When in their home make sure that you also take note of the layout of each room because you may be able to get some ideas from this as well.

It might be an idea to purchase something for the wedding ceremony itself. This would be an unusual idea because most gifts are given after the wedding and something that they can use afterwards. Purchasing something that can be used during the wedding and they can keep it for later maybe an idea. Have you seen wedding cake topper’s these come in various figures and characters. You can actually get them made it to look similar to you and maybe dressed in the fashion that you wear. If you play golf you could get them with golf sticks, if you play the piano you can get them sitting beside a piano. There are so many different types available and there are companies out there that specially make them all so. I have seen these myself a number of times and they look amazing. They will always be in the wedding photographs and a couple will keep them.

I would also check online to see if you come across anything there and many options out there and many companies trying to sell their stuff. Realistically try and come up with a unique idea and something that they will keep and treasure. Alternatively you may want to speak to the couple to see is there anything that they need. Some couples prepare gift certificates and there is also a trend for receiving cash which can help young couples to pay for the wedding as I’m sure you know they can be quite expensive at times.

Whatever you choose I’m sure your friends will be extremely happy.
